The V Shop in SW Portland, OR is a small, honest, family owned and environmentally conscious Volvo service shop that is driven to be Portland’s premier Volvo service center, raising the standard of what an independent Volvo shop can be. We run a low pressure shop where quality matters more than rushing cars through.
We are open 7:30-5pm Monday-Thursday and only 7:30-2pm on Fridays with a one hour lunch period. We have a snack bar and pay for a group lunch every Friday. We are closed for most major holidays with surrounding days depending on when the holiday is during the week. There are no late nights or weekends here.
We are seeking a full time auto technician looking for a better place to grow and call home for the long term. We’re happy to discuss flexible hours, part time or potential future positions, too.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must exhibit a fine attention to detail, strong troubleshooting skills, good communication skills, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, an interest in continuous learning and an upbeat, professional attitude.
- ASE certifications and/or previous Volvo experience are a plus but not required.
We supply most advanced diagnostic equipment as well as the heavy equipment, specialty tools, shop supplies, uniforms and gloves, etc.... You supply your own hand tools and toolbox.
